Her background and education have always centered around art. She received a BA in Art and graduate degrees in Education from San Jose State.
"The most valued art education I received has been working with children who have taught me to be honest, brave, and bold. To be able to express through art without fear or judgement"

Art has always been a part of me. Through the years I have worked in varied mediums. Each of these art forms and media evolve on their own and at the same time come together. Most recently I have worked in monoprints. A monoprint is an image made from a reprintable block. For my prints I use a gel plate. Rather than printing multiple copies of a single image, only one impression is produced. Monoprints are known as the the most painterly method among the printmaking techniques. It is essentially a printed painting. The main characteristic of this method is that no two prints are alike. The beauty of this medium is also in its spontaneity and its combination of printmaking and painting.
